María, the heart and soul behind Frida's, has been in the food industry for over 45 years. Her journey began in the 1980s, cooking from a humble food truck in Anaheim, California. It was there, in the early mornings and long afternoons serving the local community, that her passion for food was born. From those early days, she discovered that food wasn't just a job—it was a way to connect, to serve, and to share love through every plate. That passion only grew with time. Together with her husband and children, María turned that small food truck dream into a family-run business that now spans multiple restaurant locations. From Frida's Tacos to Frida's Mexican Cuisine, each space is a reflection of her roots, her vision, and the values she's carried with her since day one: authenticity, hospitality, and heart. Every dish served at Frida's tells a story—of culture, tradition, and family. And as the brand continues to grow, our newest and most exciting chapter is on the horizon: a flagship location coming soon to Downtown Dallas. This space will bring together everything we've learned, dreamed, and built over the years. It will be more than a restaurant—it will be a celebration of María's lifelong journey.
